Join the contest!
Do you have a way with butter? Does pie crust roll out flawlessly under the guidance of your fingertips? Show us your best pie in the inaugural San Francisco Pie Contest. Bakers of all levels are invited to submit a pie for the competition. Professional bakers will be judged separately from home bakers.
Winners will receive the prized Golden State Ribbon!

Guidelines
You must bring two pies for submission to the Potrero Hill Neighborhood House between 11:30 AM-12:30 PM on Saturday October 10th. One pie for the judges, the other for public tasting.
You must be present to accept a prize
Pies must be completely homemade: no store bought crusts or premade fillings
Pie must be baked by the individual submitting the pie entry for judging
Pies must be baked in a 9 or 10 inch disposable pie tin. We cannot return pie plates.
Due to refrigeration restrictions, we cannot accept cream pies for the contest.
A recipe must accompany your pie entry, including pie name, ingredients, instructions, and contestant’s name. You may also submit 100 words to describe the story of your pie. We will create a digital cookbook of all submissions.
Please do not write your name on the pie, it will be assigned a number for anonymous judging

Pies will be judged anonymously
Judging will begin at 1:30 PM and announced at 2:30 PM
Judges will independently score each pie before discussion
All judges’ decisions are final
Judges will score on 4 criteria
